Please include your iPhone model, iOS version, Spare version and the steps that led to the problem. Never send your vault password, cloud passwords or keys.

Connecting a cloud

Google Drive, Dropbox and OneDrive connect by signing in on the provider's own page; the sign-in page lets you choose which account to use. Backblaze B2, Cloudflare R2, Koofr, other S3 storage and WebDAV servers are under Advanced, and connect with a key or app password you create on the provider's website. Each account can be connected once.

Two copies

With two or more clouds connected, Spare keeps each photo on two of them, whichever have the most room. You can change this in Settings › Backup Copies.

Encryption

A vault encrypts backups on your iPhone with your password. Nobody can reset that password, so keep it in Passwords or another password manager.

Getting your photos back

Your backups are ordinary files in a folder named DeepFreeze (Spare's earlier name) in each cloud. On a new iPhone, install Spare and connect the same clouds. Unencrypted backups can also be downloaded from each cloud's own website or app; vaults open with the free tool rclone and your vault password. Settings › Your Photos, Anywhere in the app explains each way.

Keeping your clouds

Some providers close free accounts that aren't used for a year or two, deleting what's in them. Sign in to each cloud's website or app from time to time.
