Pete’s Pre-coaching Prep

Congratulations on taking a step towards making work suck less!

Content: What can you help me with?

This is your time! I will look to you to come in with a goal for our time together – even if that goal is to answer "what is my goal?"

Every session is unique and personalized, but I've helped folks navigate a spread of topics:

  • "How can I improve my resume?"
  • "I want to work fewer hours"
  • "I need a raise"
  • "There's this promotion I'm aiming for.."
  • "What if I went into restaurant management?"
  • "I don't know if corporate life is right for me"
  • "How do I tell my manager I work only 9-5 without retaliation?"

And plenty more.

Format: How do you help me do those things?

My coaching has two parts: discovery and planning.

Discovery: careers, work, professions – they all are such mental games. We all need help sorting out the complex dynamics from the workplace, and that's where discovery plays a role: you'll share what you've been thinking about, what's on your mind, what you'd like to focus on.

Once we see a thread in that discovery of what you want to dig into, we'll shift to planning.

Planning: here's where we talk brass tacks. We'll find a way forward that makes sense for you. It could be a shift in mentality, another path forward you could take, or maybe you just needed to vent. We'll get as practical as you need.

Context: Do you have an example?

In addition to testimonials, I have some anonymized case studies of ways I've supported folks. Check out some of the blog posts:
